GENERAL VENUE INFORMATION AND COVID-19 POLICIES

  • X Games Aspen is FREE to the general public and will take place January 21 - 23, 2022 at Buttermilk in Aspen, Colorado.
  • Buttermilk will be in full operation during X Games Aspen and does not require proof of vaccination for lift access or Ski & Snowboard School lessons, or in market-style restaurants, rental shops or ticket offices. However, proof of vaccination will be required for entrance into any X Games Aspen spectator viewing and festival locations. See below for X Games COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Event Parking is located at the Brush Creek Intercept Lot at Hwy 82 and Brush Creek Rd. Free Shuttles are provided.
  • For X Games, Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley public transportation information, please call RFTA, at 970-925-8484, or go to www.rfta.com.
  • For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are not allowed at the X Games: large bags, weapons, alcohol, coolers, pets (working animals excepted, i.e. service dog), folding chairs, large umbrellas, selfie sticks, laser-lights, drones, noisemakers (i.e. air-horns), and beverages of any kind, with the exception of factory-sealed water in plastic bottles. All persons/bags are subject to search at all times, on or in the parking lots, shuttles, and Buttermilk properties.
  • Empty water containers are permitted into the venue and can be filled up at water dispensers inside of Bumps Lodge and at any X Games Hydration Station.
  • X Games Aspen is a non-smoking event. Please refrain from smoking in all public areas. Drugs and marijuana use are also prohibited. The sale and consumption of alcohol is restricted to designated areas and times. Tailgating and camping are not permitted in the Brush Creek Intercept Lot.
  • Large posters and banners must be inspected by security before being allowed in the venue. X Games reserves the right to refuse admission of signage. Sticks or poles to hold flags/banners are not permitted.
  • X Games is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged goods.
  • X Games reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at any time.
  • Commercial photography or videography is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in ejection and/or loss of credential. Specifically, the following equipment is not permitted: lenses greater than three and one-half inches in length, telephoto or zoom lenses of any kind, interchangeable lenses of any kind, monopods or tripods or flash equipment of any kind. All wireless equipment must be cleared by ESPN.
  • Gates and/or specific competition venues will be closed when capacity is reached.
  • All existing facility policies may be enforced in addition to X Games venue policies.
  • Service dogs are allowed on the property excluding lifts and all restaurants. Please be sure to have proper documentation and the appropriate service vest on your pet.

X Games Aspen 2022 COVID-19 Guidelines
All fans 12 and over will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination along with photo identification that matches the vaccination documentation in order to be admitted into any X Games Aspen spectator viewing and festival locations. Fans 11 and under* will be admitted to X Games Aspen spectator viewing and festival locations without proof of COVID-19 vaccination, however, must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult at all times and will only have access to outdoor areas within the spectator viewing and festival locations. All unvaccinated fans between the ages of 2 and 12 will be required to wear a form fitted facemask at all times. * If vaccine age restrictions are updated prior to the event dates, the policy may be adjusted accordingly.

Fully Vaccinated
"Full vaccination" means 14 days or more following the final dose of a US FDA approved or WHO recognized vaccine against COVID-19 (e.g., Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca/SK Bioscience, Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD and Vaxzevria, Sinopharm, and Sinovac).

Proof of Vaccination
Acceptable proof of vaccination documentation may be an original or physical copy of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, or a digital copy of such card. A photo of the front and back of your vaccination card will be accepted. Proof of vaccination needs to be accompanied by a valid photo ID.

Masks
Masks must be worn in all indoor X Games spectator areas, except when actively eating and/or drinking. All unvaccinated fans between the ages of 2 and 12 will be required to wear a form fitted facemask at all times.

Vaccination Card Check Points
X Games Aspen proof of vaccination card check points will be available to spectators in advance of the event at specific locations and hours, as well as onsite at the main entrance into X Games at Buttermilk. Check back for more details as they become available.

BUTTERMILK COVID-19 REGULATIONS

PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICES
There is no parking at Buttermilk for X Games Aspen. Event Parking is located at the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, (North side of Hwy 82 & Brush Creek Road) west of the Aspen Airport. X Games shuttles will run continuously from the Brush Creek Intercept Lot, Downtown Aspen, and Snowmass to the X Games venue at Buttermilk Mountain. Ride share drop off and pick up is located at the base of Butermilk off Hwy 82 and Owl Creek Road.

X FEST
X Games Aspen will showcase X Fest, a three-day interactive festival at Buttermilk Mountain offering sponsor activations, entertainment, games, attractions, food and other activities for all ages. Located throughout the base of Buttermilk Mountain, X Fest will also include DJ performances, athlete autograph signings, daily giveaways and two X Fest Beer & Wine Gardens.

*Beer garden will open at 11 a.m. each day and close 30 minutes prior to the end of competitions each night.

What is considered "Fully Vaccinated"?

What if I have a medical condition or religious belief that exempts me from getting vaccinated?

• Although you won't be able to access X Games Aspen premium spectator viewing and festival areas, you will still be able to access Buttermilk venue, with perimeter viewing of X Games Aspen.

What about fans under the age of 12?

• Fans 11 and under will be admitted to all X Games Aspen spectator viewing and festival locations without proof of COVID-19 vaccination, however, they must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult at all times and will only have access to outdoor areas within the spectator viewing and festival locations. All unvaccinated fans between the ages of 2 and 12 will be required to wear a form fitted facemask at all times. Any unaccompanied fans under the age of 12 can still access Buttermilk venue, with perimeter viewing of X Games Aspen.

Will I still have to wear a mask?

• Masks must be worn in all indoor X Games spectator areas, except when actively eating and/or drinking. All unvaccinated fans between the ages of 2 and 12 will be required to wear a form fitted facemask at all times in outdoor X Games spectator viewing and festival areas.

Can I avoid the crowds and get my vaccination card checked before I arrive to X Games?

• X Games Aspen proof of vaccination card check points will be available to fans in advance of the event at specific locations and hours, as well as onsite at the main entrance into X Games at Buttermilk. See the most current schedule of vaccination card check points.

How can I get up close to the X Games Aspen competitions?

• In order to access X Games Aspen premier viewing areas, you must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at any of the X Games Aspen vaccination check points. Once your vaccination status has been validated, you will receive a wristband granting you access to the premier X Games Aspen spectator viewing and festival locations at Buttermilk.

Will I have to have my vaccination card checked each day?

• No, once you have your vaccination status validated, you will receive a wristband valid for all three event days. Be sure not to remove the wristband, or you will have to return to an X Games Aspen vaccination check point for revalidation.
