Tucker Hibbert and the Ten-Peat

How does X Games Aspen 2017 Snowmobile SnoCross racer Tucker Hibbert get the added edge out of the start gate? Watch as Hibbert explains his secret race techniques.

Tucker Hibbert doesn't chat much about personal achievements. He remembers everything, but only to service the future. He doesn't recite the prodigious records and stats that prove he's the best snocross racer ever -- he allows the numbers to stand on their own. But he does admit that breaking the greatest X Games streak in history is at least on his mind.

Now 32, Hibbert is tied with BMX legend Jamie Bestwick for most consecutive gold in a single discipline: 9. Bestwick's BMX Vert streak ended at X Games Austin 2015. Hibbert goes for 10 at Aspen 2017.

"Obviously I'm thinking about the ten-peat. That's the goal," Hibbert says. "It would be awesome if it happens; I've come to really respect Jamie Bestwick and his accomplishment because there's a lot of pressure once you get a good streak going."

Tucker Hibbert returns for X Games Aspen 2017, with an automatic invite to compete in Snowmobile SnoCross. Round 1 and finals begin at 2:30 p.m. MT on Thurs., Jan. 26.
