About Chris

Del Bosco has two X Games Skier X gold medals (2010 and 2012) and returns to Aspen as a favorite. His first XG medal (2006 bronze) was earned on borrowed skis that he tuned himself. In December, he won the first two World Cup races of the 2015-2016 season and finished third at another. The 2011 World Champion races for Canada but has dual citizenship with the USA, where he spends his time training and downhill mountain biking in Vail. One of the big boys in the field (200 lbs), Chris was recruited to play hockey for the University of Denver.

  • Defending XG Skier X champ (2012). Also has gold from 2010, 2011 silver and 2006 bronze. Led a Canadian sweep at X Games 2010 (Dave Duncan, silver; Brady Leman, bronze.)
  • 5 World Cup starts in Dec. 2015: won 2 (Montafon, AUT; Val Thorens, FRA). Finished 3rd at the second Val Thorens race.
  • 2011 World Ski Champion (Ski Cross). Competed 4 times in World Ski Championships, it's his only podium (4th in 2009, 6th in 2013, 27th in 2015).
  • Dual citizenship with USA/Canada. His father, Armando, was born and raised in Quebec.
