2011 XG Snowboarder X gold medalist Nick Baumgartner is a dual-sport threat (TORC truck racing and boardercross) and self-proclaimed U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) hillbilly and meathead. He finished third at the 2015 World Snowboard Championships (Kreischberg, AUT) and has been one of the top-ranked Americans since 2006, finishing 3rd overall in 2009. The former linebacker and all-American wrestler has a sign in Bates Township, Mich., welcoming visitors to the "Home of Nick Baumgartner." The father of 11-year old Landon has one female in his life -- dog, Oakley. When not racing, Baumgartner often works pouring concrete.
