About Spencer

Since making her first X Games appearance at Aspen in 2007, Spencer O'Brien has consistently progressed and pushed the boundaries of women's snowboarding. She earned Slopestyle gold at Aspen in 2016 and is coming into 2018 fresh off a win at the Dew Tour. Able to spin in all four directions and possessing some of the best rail skills in the business, Spencer is a favorite at every contest she enters. In 13 X Games appearances, Spencer has earned 5 total medals (1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze). The 29-year-old Canadian is a member of the Canadian First Nations (native Canadian peoples) and promotes snowboarding to the indigenous population of British Colombia by donating gear to native snowboarders in Vancouver.
