About Sean

Sexton has a number of weapons in his arsenal, combining the usual grind moves with ramp-inspired jump tricks and flairs on the smallest of transitions, and he's proficient in switch (opposite) moves, as well. He can spin and throw the bars in either direction, a subtle change that increases the difficulty of his moves. He earned bronze at BMX Street's debut at X Games in Los Angeles in 2008, and has earned a reputation as a solid street rider with a unique approach to the spots he finds all over the world. Although he is just an alternate, if he competes in Austin, it will be his eighth X Games appearance.

  • Sean owns a bronze medal in BMX Street from X Games LA 2008. He is also the only person to have beaten Garrett Reynolds in worldwide X Games Street competition. Sean placed 7th at the Dew Tour Street in San Francisco in October 2013 and 5th in Street at the Dew Tour in 2012. The 28--year--old used to fabricate custom parts for racecars.
