About Armin
The understated driving force of the Swiss team, Niederer has been on the squad since 2004 and has three national championships in his country. Since his last X Games appearance in 2012, he was the top finishing Swiss skier at the 2014 Olympics (7th) and he's gained 15 pounds (now 171) to give him more momentum on the X Course. A member of the Swiss military, Armin trains full-time, but is also a carpenter by trade.
- X Games Aspen 2016 will be his fourth appearance; best finish 2010, 8th.
- Finished 2nd at the last event before XG 2016 (Jan. 23, CAN).
- Finished 7th at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Ski Cross.
