About Kelsey

The fearless and aggressive Kelsey Serwa won X Games gold in 2011, but it came at a cost: She was carrying so much speed over the final kicker in an attempt to edge the charging Ophelie David that she crashed across the finish line, suffering two compression fractures at T7 and T9. The 26-year-old has had a lot of time off-course since then -- she tore her left ACL in 2012 and re-tore it in March 2013. She returned to earn silver in the 2014 Olympics for Canada, then took more time off in order to study full-time.

  • 2011 XG Skier X gold medalist (thwarting the five
  • peat attempt of Ophelie David), getting a compression fracture of her T7 and T9 in the process. Bronze in 2010; 6th at her first event, 2009.
  • 2014 Olympic silver medalist
  • 2011 World Champion (ski cross), Deer Valley, UT.
  • 2 time Canadian National champion, 2009 and 2015. 2nd in 2011.
