About Sylvain

This Olympian (12th in ski cross, 2010 Vancouver) has competed at X Games three times with a best finish of 13th in 2010. The French rider, whose home resort is the famed Alpe d'Huez, has been on the French National Ski Team since 2008 and is the 2015 French National Champion. In 2012, he lost his eyesight briefly after suffering a hemorrhage in his retinas, but he's almost back to normal. Co-wrote the children's ski book, "Le p'tit ABC du ski."

  • Finished 2nd at the Jan. 16, 2016 FIS World Cup in Italy (qualified 1st for the Jan. 17 race but finished 26th).
