About Alex

Dual U.S. and Swiss citizen Alex Fiva scored a win during his first full season competing on the World Cup circuit (Jan. 2012). Since then, he's earned 6 more victories, owns 13 podiums total and claimed the overall FIS World Cup series (the Crystal Globe title) in 2013. A busy full-time racer, he is also a member of the Swiss military, computer tech and has been hitting the gym hard. He herniated a disc in his back just weeks before the 2014 Olympics but raced anyway, finishing 31st before crashing again a month later and ending up in the hospital for three weeks recovering from surgery.

  • During his first full season competing in FIS World Cup ski cross races, he finished 2nd in one of the season
  • opening races (Innichen, ITA). Got his first win during the same season (St. Johann, AUT, Jan. 2012). Owns 7 wins and 13 total podiums, including 2nd at the Watles, ITA World Cup Jan. 17, 2016.
  • Won overall FIS World Cup Crystal Globe in 2013.
  • Played receiver on the Swiss American football team Calanda Broncos.
