About Alessandro

Haemmerle comes from a trio of snowboard cross racing brothers and will be making his X Games debut in 2016. The 22-year old Austrian is the 2012 Junior World Champion and won the first World Cup of the 2016 season, at his home mountain, Montafon, Austria in December. A member of the Austrian army, he is attending University of Innsbruck. His older brother, Michael competed at X Games in 2012, finishing 16th in Snowboarder X. Alessandro was invited in 2014 but broke his left foot at a World Cup race.
