Tanno surprised at her first X Games, Aspen 2017, scoring Ski Big Air bronze and taking 4th in Slopestyle. Part of the suddenly formidable Swiss women's freeski squad, the 20-year-old became the first woman to land a double cork 1080 off a scaffolding jump, doing it at the FIS World Cup in Milan, Italy, in Nov. 2017. Tanno broke her left humerus bone during XG Aspen 2018 slopestyle practice and missed both XG and the Olympics, but she returns for XG Norway. Swiss skiers have won the last two X Games Big Air comps: Mathilde Gremaud (Norway 2017) and Sarah Hoefflin (Aspen 2018). Tanno could make it three straight.
