Max Mey, Germany
"Max Mey and I shot this at his home compound in Ingelheim, Germany. We played around with angles on this backflip can can. In the end, the drone perspective provided the best angle to show the lines and this sweet trick." -- Christoph Laue

Gard Jenssen Hvaara, Norway
"I was randomly out testing some camera gear when I came across this spot. Those lines under the bridge were just begging for a photo, so I went back a couple days later together with Gard to shoot it. He jumped from the first to the second ledge where he popped a good old stylish ollie for me. I had a flash lighting up the wall behind him so he would be more visible as he was dressed in all black. A scenic and different spot is always nice to shoot." -- Frode Sandbech

Kevin Bourez, Tahiti
"This is Kevin Bourez in Tahiti, kicking out from a wave before it closed out on dry reef. A different swell and wind direction allowed us to explore some new waves that day, but when discovering a new spot it takes a few waves to get your marks!" -- Ben Thouard

Halldor Helgason, Switzerland
"This photo was taken in Laax, Switzerland, during the last shoot for TransWorld SNOWboarding's "Future of Yesterday." That's Halldor Helgason doing a backflip rocket air while the rest of the crew rides in the bank turn." -- Olav Stubberud

Brandon Westgate, San Francisco, California
"Power, pop and style are three words that come to mind when I think of Brandon Westgate. This was shot in the South Bay while he was filming for the new Element skateboards video, "Peace." It just came out this week and, like always, his part is amazing." -- Anthony Acosta

Tor Lundström, Sweden
"Tor Lundström was in Stockholm to film for "The Future Of Yesterday" and, after cruising around the city for a while, we found this spot at a playground. He had to gap over a fence to get to the waterfall rail. I had some really hard times trying to find a good angle to shoot it, but then I saw this water puddle under a couple of benches that I knew I could get a reflection in. I took my jacket off and went in there. Tor did a few tries of this backside pretzel and then just stomped it. I got the photo and he got the trick. Good times!" -- Daniel Bernstål

Reed James Platenius, Canada
"Canada's surf scene is rugged. It only starts to turn on in the fall when storms pummel the coastline and the days grow short. Here, Reed James celebrates the return of thick wetsuits, brain-freeze duck dives and numb fingers." -- Reuben Krabbe

Richie Schley, Southern California
"Richie Schley, a pioneer of freeride mountain biking, is still one of the best riders around on ride natural, technical and steep lines. This year we found this new line in a old zone in Southern California. I was doubting the run-out, but he made it so easily that I even asked him for a second attempt to get a different angle. That was this shot." -- Ale Di Lullo

Austin Lamoreaux, Salt Lake City, Utah
"Taking photos of skateboarding that are creative and out of the box is one of my favorite things to do, and this photo of Austin Lamoreaux sending a bean plant off the top of this sculpture in downtown Salt Lake City is definitely in that wheelhouse." -- CJ Anderson

Steven Hamilton, Detroit, Michigan
"Under a waxing-gibbous moon, Steven Hamilton gracefully carves a curved wall-ride in Metro Detroit. A few weeks prior, this spot was disclosed to us on a chance encounter in the woods. Or maybe it was just our destiny." -- Theodore Van Orman
