Dave Faustini, Sierra Nevada Mountains, California
"The Sierra Nevada Mountains, with its towering granite peaks, is a winter wonderland for skiers and snowboarders. Here, Dave Faustini drops in on one of the many granite hallways tucked away in the mountain range that is also known as the Range of Light." -- Christian Pondella

Anakin Senn, Portland, Oregon
"The newest section of Burnside sits right up against a recently-constructed condo complex where Anakin Senn was able to put some distance into this boneless, following the blocks over the hole and around the bend. Shout out to Burnside's new neighbors for adding some great angles to shoot the park from." -- Tal Roberts

Pavel Hnilica, Vail, Colorado
"This shot started as a different idea. The rider, Pavel Hnilica, just finished building his dream track a few miles away from Vail, Colorado. We figured that those brand new berm turns would make for some good roosts. My idea was to get a wider shot, with a lot of roost behind the bike. As we started shooting, I noticed that tighter shots packed a lot more detail and got rid off all the unattractive stuff around us in the frame. It took a few tries to get a good shot, but I believe this one is it!" -- Daniel Milchev

Chad Sayers, Italy
"Many times it is when the conditions are harsh and difficult you nail the most interesting and fascinating photos. This day was one of those when you just wanted to stay inside after lunch. We were at Courmayeur, in Italy's Aosta Valley, at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif in the European Alps. We were having a great lunch inside one of Courmayeur's world-class restaurants. Outside it was very cold, windy and flat lit. I am happy that Chad Sayers and I did not let the weather stop us this day, as the afternoon provided a perfect combination of great skiing and photo opportunities, like this one here. I really didn't enjoy standing there with cold fingers and a soaked camera, but hopefully captured the essence of this change in weather." -- Mattias Fredriksson

Iki Mazza, The Netherlands
"Argentinian Iki Mazza downside tailwhips into a rough bank at the first spot of the day while getting the boot in Venlo, the Netherlands. This was shot back in March this year during a trip he made through Europe." -- Aaron Zwaal

Santiago Guzman, Switzerland
"After a hot summer with a lot of melting, this ice cave opened up big enough last season to ski through. Getting this shot of Santiago was my first and last time in it. This summer it caved in and is there no more." -- Oskar Enander

Matej Zan, Slovenia
"I got invited to shoot a Sunset Miniramp BMX Session at Lake Bled, Slovenia. I quickly realized that it is something special to shoot a floating ramp there. I have always wanted to go to Lake Bled to shoot a landscape photo, but to be able to combine it with BMX Rider Matej Zan and a miniramp made it even better." -- Hannes Mautner

Florian Galler, Austria
"I got a phone call from Florian Galler who told me he wanted to shoot a kinked rail at Koralpe, Austria. Unfortunately, the snow was already gone when we arrived at the spot. We were really disappointed to go back home without a photo, but decided to make the best out of it. We took shovels to make a kicker and a landing with what remained of the snow. I am pretty stoked on how the photo turned out in the end." -- Hannes Mautner

Kyron McGrath-Davis, England
"This image is shot in London. We were just mucking about. Having him hippy jump this bar was kind of an inside joke for us because a similar effort in Paris, not long before, had a very different and much more painful result. Scroll through his Instagram and you might find it." -- Marcel Veldman

Kazu Kokubo, Japan
"Last season I was invited on a trip to Japan with the Kamikazu crew: Kazu Kokubo, Gigi Ruf and Tadashi Fuse. These were three riders that I had always wanted to shoot with, and to do it in Japan was just icing on the cake. We stumbled upon these water tanks on a roadside scouting mission, and it was one of those dream features for a photographer. When the boys gave the green light that the step-down was a go, I got into position with the fisheye to show the whole feature, and to get Kazu isolated in the sky. Be sure to check out 'Kamikazu.' The movie is one of the best I've seen in a while. You'll be so stoked to shred once you give it a watch." -- Mike Yoshida
