Welcome to Red Bull Rampage, the premier freeride mountain bike event worldwide and the final calendar stop of the mtb season for most freeride specialists. Riders and a crew of diggers spend a week in the desert building individual lines down a near vertical cliff face. Rampage and freeride legend Cam Zink battled repeated crashes during final practices, and couldn't clean his line on either attempt in finals, but still sent it over the large final drop for the Rampage fans.

Tyler McCaul's move from Santa Cruz to nearby Toquerville gave him local access to the terrain surrounding Rampage throughout the year, all that practice paying off as he greased his line for a top 5 finish, plus earning the Kelly McGarry Spirit Award from fellow riders for his great energy and morale boosting attitude during the 10 days of practice and build time leading up to the event.

Poised at the top as the final rider of the second run, ready to defend his lead, Semenuk instead was able to drop in for a stylish victory lap, cruising in to the finish corral to join the rare ranks of Kurt Sorge as the only other three-time winner of the event.
