Inside the Shotgun Trails -- Raleigh, N.C.
Overview
The Shotgun trails are located just outside Raleigh, N.C., about two hours east of Greenville. Named "Shotgun" because the locals commonly find shotgun shells in the dirt from the previous landowner, the trails are now privately owned. The new owner allows the locals to ride and dig there freely and they've quickly become an amazing set of trails. The locals are super friendly and the pros in Greenville frequently ride there. With a heavy crew of riders including, Rob Darden, Josh Perry, Rob Armour, Vince Byron, Scott Wirch, Nick Digeroloma and Jeremiah Smith, here's what went down during our visit to the Shotgun Trails.

Andrew Bryan
Andrew is one of the current locals of the Shotgun Trails. He was really nice to us and stoked to have guests come out and ride the trails with him. He mentioned the trails are private and doesn't want people just showing up, but they do welcome newcomers. Riders can get in touch with them on Facebook at Shotgun Trails.

Josh Perry
A lot of people think Josh only rides park, but he's equally impressive riding street and dirt. Case in point: here's a clicked 360 one-handed-x-up.

Rob Darden
Rob's technically not a local, but for as much as he visits this place and as well as he rides them, you would assume he was. Stylish euro over the hip.

Rob Armour
With the way everyone was riding the trails and doing tricks, you would've thought we were at a contest. This hip saw most of the action -- Rob Armour tailwhip.

Rob Darden
This is one of the bigger jumps at the Shotgun Trails and Darden was pretty much the only one jumping it and tricking it. 360 tuck no-hander. This gap is big, trust me.

Nick Digeroloma
Miraculously, Nick Digeroloma stopped playing the new Call of Duty for the day to ride the trails with everyone. Despite a couple wrecks, he rode the trails with effortlessly with style and finesse.

Rob Darden
Darden had tricks for days at these trails, including supermans.

Josh Perry
The Eastern Bikes office isn't too far from the trails, so Leigh Ramsdell (filming in the background) came out to the trails to get some clips of team rider Josh Perry doing some one-footed tables.

Scott Wirch
Long time dirt jumping competitor Scott Wirch lays a one-handed, one-footed table over the last set.

Vince Byron
Non-vert riding from Vince Byron. Surprised? I'm not, Vince can shred everything. Here's a stylish nac-nac seat grab to prove it.
