Yuto's rapid rise from unknown Japanese teenager to one of the biggest stars of the Nike SB and Blind Skateboards teams is one of the hottest stories in skateboarding: He first popped up on radars after finishing 4th at Tampa Am in 2016, followed by a "Next New Wave" feature on The Berrics. By 2017, he was winning major international contests and taking podiums at Street League and Dew Tour, then finished first in the XG Minneapolis 2017 Skateboard Street Qualifier before taking 9th in his first X Games Final. Turning heads in the streets, too, where he's been stepping up to enormous rails and
stair sets with a stylish approach and extremely technical tricks.
