Dew Tour Brooklyn, N.Y. day 2
Trevor Colden
One of the funnest, high-energy course designs in skateboarding, the Dew Tour Skate Streetstyle comp (which combines the rawness of a real street surface mixed with high speeds and massive obstacles) held its season finals this weekend at the House of Vans in Brooklyn, in front of a scenic Manhattan backdrop. Here, Trevor Colden gets it done on his way to first place in the finals.

Curren Caples
Flip Skateboard's newest pro and teenage heart throb, Curren Caples' final run, arguably, should've earned him third place and bumped Canada's Ryan Decenzo down a notch. The course begs for speed and flow and Caples had both as he kickflipped the car, nosegrinded at mach 10 (seen here) and noseblunted the 10-stair rail to cap his run.

Mike Vallely
At age 44, Mike Vallely is still a force to be reckoned with. Having grown up in the jump ramp era of skateboarding, it was as if the course, with its big hits and snowboard-sized jumps, was built with Mike in mind. Mike has perhaps one of the deepest bags of tricks in skateboarding, but perhaps his use of '80s step off tricks like bonelesses and airwalks (seen here) might have been a disservice to his score with the judges. Truth be told, if Mike opted to do more modern or "fashionable" tricks (which he's completely capable of), he could've gotten top three rather than eighth. He's that good.

Ryan Decenzo
Darkstar pro Ryan Decenzo, killed all three of his runs with a combination of consistent technical tricks and big, hammer tricks, earning himself third place. His bump to 5-0 on the rarely used out ledge (seen here) and enormous frontside flip over the 10-stair were just some of the crowd favorites from Decenzo.

Zered Bassett
Expedition Skateboards pro Zered Bassett ives just a few blocks from the House of Vans and was definitely the hometown hero with the crowd. Z had been practicing on the course all day, every day leading up to the event. He had it dialed and seemed like a front runner until he injured himself in practice the night before the contest. He still managed to put together respectable runs with big ollies on the tabletop like this one, but we're quite certain had he not been banged up, he would've faired better than ninth place.

Evan Smith
Evan Smith may not win most contests he enters, but you can be certain he's always the most talked about afterwards. Evan is one of the most entertaining skaters around and his contest runs are always unique and interesting -- never premeditated or choreographed. This wallie off the cargo container into the bank is just one of a dozen moves he was pulling in his runs that no one else was trying, and thus the reason he fully deserved second place.

Ishod Wair
Real Skateboards pro and Jersey boy Ishod Wair won Saturday's Skate Street contest and had most people's vote to sweep the weekend. Having just missed beating Nyjah Huston at last months Street League finals seemed to spark a new era of contest dominance for Wair, but after his hard-fought victory Saturday night over Trevor Colden, it took some time for him to get his legs going Sunday. Not until his last and final run did he really turn it on. Yet he still managed to win Mike & Ike's "Sweet Trick of the Day" with his backside noseblunt slide on the flat fence.

Trevor Colden
After Skate Mental Skateboard's newest pro, Trevor Colden lost Saturday night's Skate Street contest to Ishod Wair by just over a point, he was not about to lose Sunday's Streetstyle. With Wair far in the rearview mirror, Colden dominated all day with moves like this lipslide on the flat bar, winning by nearly three points and not really making it much of a battle at all.

Luis Tolentino
Shut Skateboard's pro Luis Tolentino hails from Queens and is just a short subway ride away from the House of Vans in Brooklyn. Although the Dominican Republic-born skater failed to make the top ten, he still busted some rad tricks (like this airwalk) for his city and was definitely feeling the love from the local crowd all day.
