Mark McMorris, Men's Snowboard Big Air Finals
Mark McMorris really does love a photo finish. After failing to make the podium in Men's Snowboard Slopestyle on Friday, he sat outside of gold-medal position for the entire Big Air contest. Then, on his last drop of the night, he threw a switch back triple cork 1620 melon to steal the win from Max Parrot.

Seb Toutant, Men's Snowboard Big Air Finals
Seb Toutant tied bronze-medal-winner, Torgeir Bergrem, in Men's Snowboard Big Air Saturday with a final two-trick score of 79. In the event of a tie, the snowboarder with the single highest score wins, which pushed Toutant just off the podium, into fourth position.

Kelly Sildaru, Women's Ski Big Air Finals
Getting enough speed to hit the Big Air jump proved to be a challenge for some of the smaller competitors. Rather than risk getting hurt, snowboarder Hailey Langland opted to drop out of the Women's Snowboard Big Air competition earlier in the day. Fifteen-year-old Estonian phenom, Kelly Sildaru, got a skier to help slingshot her into the jump. She netted silver for her efforts.

Mathilde Gremaud, Women's Ski Big Air Finals
Mathilde Gremaud threw an X Games first -- a switch double 1080 safety grab (not pictured) -- to take gold in Women's Ski Big Air on Saturday night. It's rumored that the judges called it the best trick ever thrown in a women's Big Air competition.

Henrik Harlaut, Men's Ski Big Air Finals
Always a favorite to win Men's Ski Big Air, Henrik Harlaut came through in trademark style, throwing the nose butter triple cork 1620 that earned him three X Games Big Air golds leading into the competition. On Saturday, the trick earned him his fourth gold.

Cheryl Maas, Women's Snowboard Big Air
When Women's Snowboard Big Air returned to the X Games at Oslo in 2016, Cheryl Maas rode away with the gold. The veteran rider was unable to repeat her win at X Games Norway on Saturday, but she still succeeded in making spinning through the air look admirably stylish.

Torgeir Bergrem, Men's Snowboard Big Air Finals
Viewers of the X Games Norway snowboard competitions were entertained throughout the event by fans in the crowd enthusiastically waving a very large cutout of Torgeir Bergrem's head. Their encouragement must have done the trick. After five X Games appearances, Bergrem took home his first medal, a bronze, in Snowboard Big Air on Saturday night.

Jackson Wells, Men's Ski Big Air Elims
The youngest of the four skiing Wells brothers, Jackson Wells is the only brother who hadn't yet competed at an X Games before now. Wells is credited as the first skier to land a quad, doing it in September 2016 at Cardrona Alpine Resort, his home mountain in New Zealand. At his first-ever X Games, in a stacked field of heavy hitters, he qualified for Saturday's Big Air Final in second place.

Ståle Sandbech, Men's Snowboard Slopestyle Finals
Always the bridesmaid, still not yet the bride -- it really looked like this would finally be Ståle Sandbech's night to take home gold. The Norwegian hero has five X Games medals -- two silver, three bronze -- and an Olympic silver to his credit. Sandbech sat in first place throughout the entirety of the contest, with a bar-setting score on a solid first run. Then Sven Thorgren dropped in for the final run of the event and snatched it away.

Sven Thorgren, Men's Snowboard Slopestyle Finals
Though Sven Thorgren hasn't been on an X Games podium since his bronze-medal win at X Games Aspen 2015, he's always been a heavy contender for gold. That potential was realized Friday night at X Games Norway when the 22-year-old Swede followed up his first-place qualification run with his first-ever XG Snowboard Slopestyle gold.

Anna Gasser, Women's Snowboard Slopestyle Finals
Cab double underflip master Anna Gasser was widely expected to rebate her X Games Aspen 2017 Snowboard Slopestyle podium miss at X Games Norway. She did not disappoint. The XGA 2017 Big Air silver medalist won her first Slopestyle gold Friday.

Henrik Harlaut, Men's Ski Big Air Elims
Though he doesn't medal in Slopestyle often, Sweden's Henrik Harlaut is always a favorite to podium in Ski Big Air. This contest is no exception. He didn't qualify in the top spot, but the four-time Big Air medalist (three gold, one silver) will be defending his X Games Oslo 2016 gold on Saturday.

Øystein Braaten, Men's Ski Slopestyle Finals
Øystein Braaten, one of the best contest skiers on the scene today, earned a convincing Ski Slopestyle gold at X Games Aspen 2017, to follow up on his bronze from 2016. The native of the tiny 405-person-population town of Torpo, Norway, which is located about 100 miles away from the X Games Norway venue, added another Slopestyle gold to his trophy case Thursday night in front of a hometown crowd.

Anna Gasser, Women's Snowboard Slopestyle practice
X Games Aspen 2017 Women's Big Air silver medalist, Anna Gasser, has had a Cab double underflip under her belt for a while now. She's used it to top podiums in almost all of the contests she's entered this year. She didn't land the trick in Slopestyle at XG Aspen, but look for her to rebate that in Norway on Friday. Women's Snowboard Slopestyle webcasts on WatchESPN at 11 a.m. ET on Friday. Big Air goes down at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday.

Mark McMorris, Men's Snowboard Big Air Elims
Mark McMorris likes a dramatic finish. The podium favorite was sitting outside of the qualifying list when he dropped in for his final trick on Thursday. His switch backside triple cork 16 bumped him back up into the No. 1 spot. Men's Snowboard Big Air Finals go down at 1 p.m. ET.

McRae Williams, Men's Ski Slopestyle Finals
McRae Williams earned his third X Games medal at Aspen 2017, adding a Slopestyle silver to a collection that includes Tignes 2013 gold and Aspen 2014 silver. He was in bronze-medal position throughout most of Thursday's Ski Slopestyle Finals, but was unfortunately bumped off the podium by the last skier to drop in the contest, James Woods.

Marcus Kleveland, Men's Snowboard Big Air Elims
Marcus Kleveland made history at X Games Aspen 2017 when he landed the first-ever quad cork in competition in Men's Snowboard Big Air. His slight hand drag was enough to net him silver instead of gold for his efforts. Not one to be deterred, the 17-year-old Norwegian came back the next day to take gold in Slopestyle with a solid run that included back-to-back triple corks. To say that the hometown hero is a favorite to podium in both disciplines again at X Games Norway would be an understatement.
