A new experience each year
Davis, with the help of Mountain Dew and Snow Park Technologies (SPT), continues to experiment and push the build of Peace Park each and every year. The event has become one of the most highly-anticipated snowboard content initiatives at the start of each winter season, consistently offering viewers something new and innovative to experience.

Style and creativity
The 2017 edit showcases exactly how Davis feels snowboarding is meant to be perceived, a youthful environment full of energy and good vibes. Although Peace Park is not a traditional contest, it continues to set an example for the future of snowboarding contests, sparking the style and creativity that the sport is best known for.

Davis opens up
"This year, for Peace Park, I wanted to make it possible for a kid, who I didn't know, to get to Peace Park. That kid who has a bag of tricks sitting in his pocket at his mountain all year, but he's got no chance to come to Peace Park," says creator Danny Davis. "The Peace Park qualifier was mostly to bring in the youth or the unknown rider who wouldn't have a chance otherwise."

The perfect mix
This year's invited crew included a perfect mixture of some of the top riders in the world with some of the best up-and-coming riders in the world, including Nik Baden.

Masters of all-terrain
Most riders train for a certain discipline to compete in each season, but there's no way to train for Peace Park. The riders present are masters of all-terrain and progressing the future of snowboarding. Add X Games gold medalist Scotty James to that list.

Not a contest?
"As for the main Peace Park event, it's not a contest, but it is," says Davis. "We're kinda judging, but never judging but always judging."

The future of parks
"Peace Park is very much the future of how snowboard parks will be," says Davis. "It's not about a good slopestyle guy or halfpipe guy, it's a kid that rides everything. And the kids we invited this year really are those kinds of riders."
