Real Ski 2019 contenders: In their own words
Pär "Peyben" Hägglund
"I've been skiing since before I can remember, but didn't learn to frontside swap my first rail until I was 16 and my friends were doing all 8s. Being so far from my friends' progression in the park I was forced to come up with my own tricks as I couldn't really do the ones someone else already invented. This take on skiing is still with me today, and I hope it stays with me forever. I try not to look to much at what other skiers are doing but instead try to interpret my own ideas, and that's where my style of skiing comes from. Of course, skiing with The Bunch has influenced this more than anything. I'm proud to call The Bunch family." -- Hägglund

Kim Boberg
"For a while I only did big air and slopestyle competitions, but I felt like I didn't get to ski the way I really wanted. So I started focusing more on filming video parts in order to be able to express my way of skiing. When I started skiing in the streets I felt like that's what I really wanted to do: to use the streets to find features that you would not normally find on a ski hill. Skiing has given me a lot in life and to be a part of X Games is a 15-year-old dream coming true." -- Boberg

Alex Beaulieu-Marchand
"I have been filming street segments since I was 12, most notably with Stept Productions. When they were done I did my own project: 'Wild Indians, ABM's' way back. I have also been competing on the international scene for the past eight years." -- ABM

Henrik Harlaut
"Skiing is everything to me. Even if I'm competing at the highest events, or filming for my own project, as soon as I received the invitation for Real Ski I said yes right away. This is a great occasion so show a different side of my skiing and is great exposure for our sport." -- Harlaut

ABM's filmer: Antoine Caron
"Antoine used to ski street, competed in the Superunknown back in 2008 and now is one of the best filmers I know. So when I heard he might be available he was the first person I could think of to work with. It's always nice to have a filmer that understands the hardships of street skiing!" -- ABM

Casabon's filmer: Brady Perron
"Brady Perron and I teamed up because of our healthy relationship. We trust and have high respect for each other so working together is natural." -- Casabon

Jake Mageau's filmer: Oliver Hoblitzelle
"Ollie is my best homie, and it just so happens that he loves to film. He has made personal movies the past three or four years simply because of the love -- no budget, just heart. I felt that we were equally hungry to do this once we saw the opportunity." -- Mageau

Harlaut's filmer: Emil Granoo
"Emil has been my personal filmer for years now and he is a master in cooking! He is more than one of the best filmers I know, he is one of my greatest friends ever. Working together is really easy knowing that Emil knows my style and what I would like to show on tape. He is also a fantastic logistics and food manager and just the perfect partner to have." -- Harlaut

Boberg's filmer: Andreas Olofsson
"I have filmed with Andreas since Day 1. He is one of my best friends, he understands me and the spots I want to hit. He is very organized and has great visions on both skiing and filming, and I can have the confidence that he will get the best shot so I can just focus on the skiing. When things weren't going our way he kept the vibe alive." -- Boberg

Hägglund's filmer: Emil Larsson
"I've shot a lot of video through the years and I'm very particular with what I like. When I got the opportunity to do Real Ski I knew I wanted a filmer who could produce a video that would stand out from other ski videos. Emil hadn't done a lot of ski projects before but had created some amazing music videos. This, to me, was perfect as I knew he would come in with some new flavor. I knew he was the guy." -- Hägglund
