Willis Kimbel, frontside air, Arcadia, Calif.
This was Willis Kimbel's first time skating Lance Mountain's backyard pool. Tall dude with a lot of power, Willis blasts a huge frontside air over the ladder.

Lance Mountain, ally-oop backside air over the ladder
Lance Mountain is always down to check out some new pools, and he had been looking for a perfect set up for an ally-oop backside air over a ladder. He found one here in San Diego, Calif.

Kyle Berard five-o grinds over a love seat.
It was 100 degrees in the sun while Kyle Berard battled this five-O grind over the love-seat with Jake Duncombe and Matt Mumford watching from the shade in the background.

JT Aultz frontside nosegrinds a rail in San Diego, Calif.
This rail was nearly impossible to skate until they repaved the road on the top and bottom. Here, JT Aultz takes advantage with a frontside nosegrind.

Jimmy Cao, frontside blunt, San Diego, Calif.
An old foundation that eroded and fell into the ocean, took lots of work scrubbing the algae off just so you could skate it during low tide. Jimmy Cao ignores the water factor and snaps a frontside blunt on the dilapidated tray.

Ed Duff, 50/50 grinds in San Diego , Calif.
I just met Ed and took him to this rail that no one else wanted to skate. His first try he came off the rail, grinded the step and almost took out the street sign with his head. 50/50, San Diego, Calif.

Dane Vaugh ollies an alley gap, San Diego, Calif.
Dane Vaughn spotted this huge alley gap while leaving a school yard in San Diego. Not the best run-up or landing but Dane mad it look easy.

Dane Burman, long 50/50 grind, Irvine, Calif.
If you have ever met Dane then you know he's a complete wanker. Who else grinds a rail and flips you off while looking right at the camera?

Alex Perleson, frontside air, Windells skatepark, Mt. Hood, Ore.
We were on a five day Vans trip up in Oregon when we skated this quarter pipe at Windells Skate Camp. Alex Perleson can go big on any size obstacle and blasted this frontside air.

Al Partanen front blunts in the Flumes.
The Flumes were dry, (we heard they hadn't been skated for about 20 years), so Al Partanen got a flight from Portland to LA where I picked him up and went on a 13 hours mission. Epic spots are worth it.
