About Mia Brookes
A snowboarder since age 18 months, X Games Aspen 2024 Snowboard Slopestyle gold medalist Mia Brookes grew up riding on indoor slopes in England between family snowboard trips around Europe in the family motorhome. She broke through with the overall 2022 FIS Europa Cup and World Rookie Tour titles. Since her X Games debut in 2023 she’s been adding accolades, including the 2023 FIS World Championship slopestyle title (with a first-in-women’s-competition Cab 1440 in the middle of her run). Her secret? Heavy metal in the headphones, played loud, and affirmations: She said she woke every day after her disappointing XG Aspen debut by saying she would win in 2024, and she did. “I manifested it,” she says.
