A perfectionist in SuperPipe who now owns 6 X Games gold and 9 medals total, Scotty James has it all, including a new Cab triple cork he used to win Laax Open the week before X Games Aspen 2025. Scotty has switch riding skills that parallel his natural stance (he was the first to land the switch backside double cork 1260, which has become his signature), 20-foot airs, technical trick combos, and other new tricks he plans to unveil in competition for the first time in 2025. Watch for his lucky red boxing gloves–the Aussie approaches every pipe contest as a prize fight and trains accordingly. It’s not all work, though. Scotty is a natural showman, just as likely to post a funny skit as an impressive trick on his social accounts.
