A force on the European skate scene, her invite to the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Beijing gave her a new drive to invest more into her skateboarding. She quit her job as a social worker, moved back in with her parents and to fund her trip to Austin in 2016 (and other events along the way) and set up a Go Fund Me campaign to raise 10,000 Euros to pay for her travels. That effort produced a 4th place finish in Women's Skateboard Street. No Dutch athlete has ever earned an X Games medal in skateboarding, but Jacobs is as close as she can get to changing that.
