Aspen 2026 FAQ
X Games will be in Aspen January 23–25, 2026 for three days of non-stop action sports and festival experiences for fans of all ages!
X Games Aspen will take place at Buttermilk Mountain on January 23-25, 2026.

Admission is free during the day. All events after 4PM require a ticket.
General Admission Tickets (1 day or 3 day) are available for all events. Tickets will also soon be available for a more premium experience.
Ticket holders will be allowed into the venue during open venue hours. Re-entry with a valid event day ticket will be allowed.
Photos and videos are permitted. When taking photos, please be aware of surrounding fans. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.
Cameras
Guests are welcome to use still cameras with a lens that is three and one half inches or less in length for personal use at the venue.
Tripods, monopods, “selfie sticks,” and cameras with a lens longer than three and one half inches (detachable or non-detachable) will NOT be permitted at the venue.
General Admission (GA) ticket holders will have standing access only.
Accessible drop-off is available at the base of Buttermilk. Designated accessible viewing areas have been established throughout the venue. Please visit the Guest Services tent located near the main entrance for information and assistance escorting an individual to any of the accessible viewing areas.
Accessible drop off is available at the base of Buttermilk. Take Highway 82, turn onto Owl Creek Rd. and take the first left into the Buttermilk Parking Lot. Follow signs to the accessibility drop off/pick up location.
Event Parking is located at the Brush Creek Park & Ride Lot at Hwy 82 and Brush Creek Rd. Free Shuttles are provided. There is no parking at Buttermilk. For X Games, Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley public transportation information, call RFTA at 970-925-8484, or go to rfta.com.
Rideshare and taxi services will be located off Owl Creek Road and E. Buttermilk Road near the main entrance to Buttermilk. If using Uber or Lyft, their respective apps will automatically direct you to the proper pick up and drop off point.
Official X Games Merchandise is available on-site during event days in the Festival Village or shop online at shop.www.xgames.com. Credit card or cash app purchase only. We are a cashless venue.

All events are held outside in a high altitude environment, be sure to stay hydrated!

All persons/bags are subject to search at all times.
Only small bags, the maximum being a standard backpack size 22″ x 14″ x 9″ or smaller, are allowed.

- For the safety and comfort of all guests, the following items are not allowed at the X Games: large bags, weapons, alcohol, coolers, pets (working animals accepted, i.e. service dog), folding chairs, large umbrellas, selfie sticks, laser-lights, drones, noisemakers (i.e. air-horns), and beverages of any kind, with the exception of factory-sealed water in plastic bottles. All persons/bags are subject to search at all times, on or in the parking lots, shuttles, and Aspen Skiing Company properties.
- Empty water containers are permitted into the venue and can be filled up at designated water dispensers.
- X Games Aspen is a non-smoking event. Please refrain from smoking in all public areas. Drugs and marijuana use are also prohibited. The sale and consumption of alcohol is restricted to designated areas and times.
- Large posters and banners must be inspected by security before being allowed in the venue. X Games reserves the right to refuse admission of signage. Sticks or poles to hold flags/banners are not permitted.
- X Games is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged goods.
- X Games reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at any time.
- Commercial photography or videography is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in ejection and/or loss of credential. Specifically, the following equipment is not permitted: lenses greater than three and one-half inches in length, telephoto or zoom lenses of any kind, interchangeable lenses of any kind, monopods or tripods or flash equipment of any kind. All wireless equipment must be cleared by X Games.
- Gates and/or specific competition venues will be closed when capacity is reached. • All existing facility policies may be enforced in addition to X Games venue policies.
- Service dogs are allowed on the property excluding restaurants. Please have proper documentation with you and the appropriate service vest on your service animal.
Security checkpoints are located at the entrance and exit to the venue. Event security personnel are also patrolling the venue and will assist with crowd and access control. All persons/bags are always subject to search, on or in the parking lots, shuttles, and Buttermilk Mountain properties. If you see something, say something!

The Festival Village is a three-day interactive sponsor village, featuring sponsor activations, athlete autograph signings, and concessions. The Festival Village is free and open to the public during the day, and only open to ticketed guests after 4pm.
The X Games Aspen Guest Services tent is the designated meeting point for lost or separated people, and will serve as the event’s lost & found. For lost & found item recovery following the event, please go to Guest Services.
Competitions may be temporarily suspended due to severe weather conditions.
We highly recommend purchasing your tickets before arriving. We can not guarantee that there will be tickets available on event days.
Children 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
Your safety is our priority! In the event of an emergency, X Games and Buttermilk Mountain team members have been trained and instructed to assist guests in evacuating the venue. In the event of an evacuation, X Games staff will assist guests with disabilities and direct them to safe locations and exit routes. Gates and/or specific competition venues will be closed when capacity is reached. All existing facility policies may be enforced in addition to X Games venue policies.
A Medical tent will be located in the Festival Village. For any medical needs, please see a medical attendant or contact any security or staff personnel to assist you.
Yes, you may leave and re-enter X Games, but please note you will have to go through security checks each time. If you are a GA ticket holder, be sure to get a hand stamp on your way into the venue. No re-entry is permitted without credential, wristband, or the proper hand stamp.
This event is for all ages, minors under 12 do not require a purchased ticket.
