Bea Kim makes her X Games debut as a 17-year-old rookie at X Games Aspen 2024, one week after logging her first World Cup podium the week before in Laax, Switzerland and after a surprise 2nd place finish at Dew Tour in 2023 at her first pro-level competition. She was a podium fixture in junior-level competition in 2022, including 4 podiums on the FIS Nor-Am Cup Revolution Tour and a second-place finish at the 2022 FIS Junior World Championships. A lifelong member of the Mammoth Mountain Snowboard Team, she trains with Ben Wisner, who previously coached 6-time gold medalist Chloe Kim (no relation) and also coaches X Games Aspen 2023 gold medalist Gaon Choi and silver medalist Maddie Mastro.
