About Cordano Russell
Cordano Russell earned Skateboard Street Best Trick silver in his X Games debut at X Games Chiba 2024. As a varsity football player in high school, he played defensive end and tight end, and he’s built like it: 6’4″ tall and weighing in at 230 pounds. Skateboarding is his first love: he’s on the Toy Machine amateur team and made the finals at Tampa Am in 2022; 2023 was a breakthrough year, including a podium finish in best trick at Tokyo Uprising and a 4th place finish at the 2023 World Skate Street World Championships, also in Tokyo. Born in Ontario, Canada, he holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and represents Canada in international competition; he officially joined the Canadian National Skateboarding team in 2023, and finished 7th at the 2024 Paris Olympics. A 2024 documentary, “Skater XXL,” directed by Thrasher editor Michael Burnett, follows his life story.
