About Jake Canter
Jake Canter, now a three-time Knuckle Huck competitor, grew up in Silverthorne, Colorado in the heart of Summit County. Initially a competitor in both halfpipe and slopestyle, he shifted focus to slopestyle in 2018, a move that raised some eyebrows after his Junior Jam win in the pipe at the 2018 Burton U.S. Open. He got a big opportunity at X Games Aspen 2019: he was onsite cheering as a fan when word went out of an opening in the Snowboard Knuckle Huck discipline. His backside 1080 from the knuckle was a contest highlight from the then-15-year-old. In January 2022 he earned his first World Cup slopestyle podium, 3rd at Laax, Switzerland.
