The second skier from Finland to compete in Men’s Ski SuperPipe (AJ Kemppainen), Sallinen finished 5th at the Dec. 2022 World Cup Copper and earned his first XG invite. He then made a splash at the Calgary World Cup barely a week before X Games, scoring his first World Cup victory. The Finn graduated in 2020 from Colorado Rocky Mountain High School (CRMS) in Carbondale, CO. No skier from Finland (man or woman) has medaled in SuperPipe.
