Keyake Ike surprised with Skateboard Street Best Trick gold in his rookie X Games appearance at X Games Chiba 2024 for his nollie big heelflip backside tailslide to fakie. He’s been on the X Games radar for years, since he took 2nd in the Next X Street Am contest at XG Minneapolis 2018. Japanese skate fans also know him for his 2nd place finishes behind Ginwoo Onodera at the Japanese National Championships in both 2022 and 2023. He’s also making a name for himself with his video parts including “Flowgressive,” a June 2024 part for Thrasher Magazine.
