About Lisa Zimmermann
It’s hard to believe that Zimmerman is now 27. A former professional figure skater, she first turned heads at X Games when she arrived at Tignes 2013 as a 17-year-old hucker. She impressed in on-site practice but had to leave Tignes because of high school exams. She didn’t reappear at X Games until Aspen 2017, when she became the first woman to land a double cork at X Games and took a surprise Big Air gold. Unfortunately, Zimmermann tore her right ACL soon afterward and suffered from post-concussion symptoms dating to a 2012 crash. She pivoted to filming and the street-skiing scene. And she’s impressed, winning the Feb. 2023 Dew Tour streetstyle event in Copper, CO, among other accomplishments.
