Liz Akama finished 9th in her X Games debut in Chiba in 2022, and hasn’t missed the podium since, collecting 2 silver, 1 bronze in Skateboard Street and 1 silver, 1 bronze in Street Best Trick. She’s been a podium regular outside of X Games on the Street League and World Skate circuits, and earned silver in her Olympic debut in Paris in 2024. Known for rare and difficult tricks like the Barley grind to fakie (a frontside 180 to switch Smith grind), she’s been pushing progression in women’s street skating.
