About Momiji Nishiya
Silver in Women’s Skateboard Street at XG Minneapolis 2019, still one month shy of her 12th birthday, made Momiji Nishiya the second-youngest X Games medalist at the time; she now owns 1 gold (X Games 2022), 2 silver, 1 bronze from 4 appearances. In the intervening years she’s won gold at the Tokyo Olympics (Japan’s youngest ever Olympic gold medalist) and become a podium regular on the Street League and World Skate circuits. She’s pushing technical progression on big features, flipping and spinning into her rail tricks, and has a great, quiet style that core skaters and judges love. In 2024 she released her first full street video part and “Adidas Presents: Momiji” was so universally loved that Thrasher Magazine named her one of its 15 nominees for 2024 Skater of the Year, the only woman on the list.
