Salt Lake City, UT — [June 10, 2025] — As X Games gears up for its historic 30th anniversary celebration this June in Salt Lake City, the legendary action sports franchise is reflecting on three decades of record-setting tricks, unforgettable moments, and global cultural influence.
From its launch as the “Extreme Games” in 1995 to becoming a worldwide platform for the mostelite Skateboard, BMX, Moto X, and Winter athletes, X Games continues to push the boundaries of sports and entertainment. With a legacy built on innovation, community, and adrenaline, here’s a look at some of the most compelling stats from 30 years of X Games:

Athlete Milestones

- Tony Hawk lands the first 900 at X Games San Francisco 1999 – a landmark moment in sports history
- Travis Pastrana lands the first Moto X double backflip in competition at X Games Los Angeles 2006
- Shaun White became the first athlete to score a perfect 100 in X Games SuperPipe (2012)
- Chloe Kim won her first gold in SuperPipe at age 14 (2015) and is now an 8-time gold medalist

X Games Salt Lake City 2025 presented by SONIC will take place June 27–29, 2025 at the Utah State Fairpark and Event Center, featuring over 100 of the world’s top action sports athletes, immersive fan experiences, and a multi-day celebration of skate, BMX, Moto X, and music. Top X Games legends from the past 30 years will also be in attendance, with athlete meet & greets and autograph signings happening throughout the weekend. Confirmed legends include Tony Hawk, Travis Pastrana, Jolene Van Vugt, Christian Hosoi, Zion Wright, Dennis Enarson, Vicki Golden, Amelia Brodka, Corbin Harris, Danny Kass, and more!
Autograph signing sessions with X Games legends will take place throughout the weekend:
- Friday, June 27 – 6:00-6:30pm
- Saturday, June 28 – 5:00-5:30pm
- Saturday, June 28 – 6:30-7:00pm
- Sunday, June 29 2:30 – 3:00pm
