X Games Brings First-Ever Summer Championship Event to New Orleans July 24-26, 2026

MoonPay X Games League Summer Season to culminate with Championship event at Caesars Superdome, highlighting the world’s best skateboard, BMX and Moto X athletes

X Games and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation (GNOSF) today in a press conference announced that New Orleans, Louisiana, will host the first-ever X Games Championship event – the final stop of the inaugural 2026 MoonPay X Games League (XGL) Summer Season.

The announcement was made during a press conference featuring panelists including X Games CEO Jeremy Bloom, Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation President/CEO Jay Cicero, New Orleans & Co. President/CEO Walt Leger III, eight-time X Games gold medalist and BMX legend Kevin Peraza, two-time X Games medalist and vert skateboard prodigy Reese Nelson, and local government officials.

The electrifying action sports festival will take place July 24–26, 2026, at the iconic Caesars Superdome, marking a monumental moment for the legendary venue. The three-day event will include a soon-to-be-announced live music lineup, next-level sponsor integrations from XGL founding partner Monster Energy and others, and 18 topnotch Skate, BMX and Moto X competitions with more than 100 of the world’s best action sports athletes.

The announcement of the X Games Championship New Orleans 2026 follows two previously announced regular-season stops – X Games Sacramento 2026 and X Games Japan 2026.

The inaugural MoonPay X Games League Summer Draft will take place at Cosm Los Angeles next week on March 12, where four new Summer X Games Clubs – XC Los Angeles, XC New York, XC São Paulo and XC Tokyo – each select their team rosters. The forty total athletes selected will compete across three global stops, earning points for their clubs based on individual and team performance. Points will accumulate throughout the season, with the X Games Championship New Orleans 2026 serving as the decisive final, where the Summer X Games Club with the highest total points will be crowned the 2026 MoonPay XGL Summer Champion and awarded the league title and grand prize.
