X Games Aspen 2026 Snowboard SuperPipe rookie Haku Shimasaki was largely unknown outside of Japan before October 2025, when he stomped a first-try frontside triple cork 1440 in a fall training camp to announce his presence at just 16 years old. A second-generation snowboarder, and with an older brother and a younger brother who are also strong halfpipe competitors, Haku says he was born to it: his parents had him on a board for the first time at age 2, when he was still wearing diapers, and he’s been going strong ever since.
