Mark McMorris, now an X Games League winter founder athlete, already owns the most winter medals (24) and is approaching skateboarder Bob Burnquist’s longstanding record for most X Games medals (30). Coming into XG Aspen 2026, Mark is at #3 behind Nyjah Huston (26). But he has more in the tank: “I want to keep going! It’s a legacy I’m trying to build here, and I’m thankful to still be at it,” he says. He has made the Slopestyle podium in his five most recent starts leading into X Games Aspen 2026, most recently silver behind Red Gerard in both 2024 and 2025. Can he keep adding medals to the pile, or get back to the top of the podium? “I sure as hell hope so,” he says.
