About Rocco Jamieson
New Zealand’s Rocco Jamieson, 18, makes his X Games debut at X Games Aspen 2025, following FIS World Cup podium finishes in August at Cardrona, New Zealand (3rd) and in October at Chur, Switzerland (2nd). He can handle big spins including 1800s in all directions and his new switch backside 1980, but is better known for wildly creative tricks like his “rubix flip,” a multiple-axis rotation (think Rubik’s Cube) that he describes as a combination of a sloth roll and a switch backside rodeo flip. His parents Deborah and Aaron Jamieson were both pro snowboarders and he’s coached by his dad, a former New Zealand national champion and pro rider for the Burton and Forum teams in the late 1990s and early 2000s who now leads the all-Kiwi Platinum Crew.
