Yohei Uchino, known as “Ucchie,” is a back wheel specialist and one of BMX Flatland’s most innovative riders. Now making his third X Games appearance, Uchino is an 11-time Flatland World Circuit Champion and winner of major events like Flat Ark 2019 and Chimera A-Side 2020. His riding is fast, technical, and filled with originality—featuring signature tricks like the “Ucchie Spin,” backwards spinning manuals, and intricate bikeflips. He earned the 2012 Nora Cup for Rider of the Year and even gave a TEDx talk in Kyoto. Uchino placed 8th at both XG Chiba 2022 and Japan 2023 and continues to push boundaries.
