About Hiroaki Kunitake
Hiroaki “Hiro” Kunitake landed a frontside quadruple cork 1800 on his way to earning a silver medal in Big Air in his rookie appearance at X Games Aspen 2024. The 2023-2024 season was a breakthrough year for him: he earned his first FIS World Cup podium in December 2023 with a big air win at Copper after landing a Cab 1800 Weddle to tailgrab combo and a frontside quad cork 1800 Weddle and in March 2024 he won the big air title at the Japanese National Championships. He’s from Aichi, Japan and is a two-time Olympian, with a best result of 4th in big air at the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
