Chili’s Macarena Perez is setting a high standard for Chilean female BMX athletes. She’s competed in the last two Olympics with a best place finish of 5th in Paris. She lived in the US for about seven years where she honed her skills before moving to Costa Rica in 2025. Perez has been featured in several different Chilean media outlets and was part of a Disney Princess campaign in August 2022. No woman from Chili has medaled at X Games.
