About Nico Porteous

Nico Porteous is the wunder from down under. He was the youngest skier on the roster both years he won back-to-back gold in SuperPipe (Aspen 2021 and 2022) becoming the first skier from New Zealand to win the discipline. He’s also a two-time Olympic medalist including gold from Beijing 2022. In Beijing, he and snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott became the first athletes from New Zealand to ever win Winter Olympic gold. Nico’s older brother Miguel is also a talented skier and earned silver in SuperPipe at Aspen 2017. Porteous missed Aspen 2023 as he recovered from a torn left ACL. He still returns as the favorite for gold in 2024 and is promising never before seen combinations in the pipe.
