About Ruki Tomita
Ruki Tomita is part of the rising wave of Japanese rippers and part of a tight-knit crew of halfpipe riders that includes her older sister (XG Aspen 2022 gold medalist Sena Tomita) and the Hirano brothers. They all grew up riding together, went to high school and now college together, and are transforming halfpipe competition with higher airs, bigger spins, and groundbreaking new tricks. Ruki notched her first World Cup win at Mammoth Mountain in January 2022, took 5th at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, and returns to Aspen ready to make a big splash, after injuries on course in both the 2021 final and in practice in 2022.
