About Giulia Tanno

Tanno is part of the formidable women’s Swiss freeski team, and she’s finished fifth or better in 6 of 7 XG Big Air starts. Bold and fearless, she was the only woman to land a double on the scaffolding at XG Norway 2018, earning silver. While she missed Aspen 2020 when she suffered a concussion during practice, she bounced back nicely at Norway 2020 where she earned her first Slopestyle medal (bronze) with one of the best single runs of the comp. Unfortunately, Tanno tore her left ACL during Slopestyle practice at Aspen 2022. She missed the rest of the season, including the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She was scheduled to compete at Aspen 2023 but pulled out right before the event. Tanno currently skis fulltime while attending a University in SUI. She’s in her 3rd semester and is focusing on sports management. Most recently she finished 5th in Big Air at the Dec. 2023 World Cup in Copper (big air).
