Laax local Moritz Boll is strong in Big Air and slopestyle and also competed in halfpipe on the FIS European Cup circuit when he was younger, but is now even better known for his playful style and creative knuckle tricks: he’ll make his X Games debut in Knuckle Huck at XG Aspen 2023. He’s a veritable Swiss Army knife of snowboard talent. Yes, really: he’s a member of the Swiss Armed Forces Sport Center of Competence, a program that permits qualified athletes to complete their mandatory 4-year military service while training in “elite sports of national importance” in a Swiss Army recruit school.
