Asahi Kaihara is podium-perfect in her first three X Games Vert starts, with 1 silver, 2 bronze. She comes out of the same “Simple City” Osaka, Japan skate scene as X Games gold medalist Moto Shibata, partly built by Shibata and his father and friends, so don’t be surprised when you see her blasting in the Vert ramp. She was on the podium at Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert in 2023 (2nd) and 2024 (3rd), and finished 2nd at the 2022 World Skate Games Vert Championship. She’s also a strong park skater: she finished 3rd at the 2025 Japan Open in April, and notched her first World Skate park podium in Ostia, Italy in 2024. A member of the Blood Wizard Skateboards team, she released her first full video part in December 2024, partly filmed on Elliot Sloan and Bob Burnquist’s backyard ramps.
