An X Games rookie, Maria learned to ski far from the mountains—on the indoor slopes of Madrid Snowzone, skiing year-round on man-made snow. Today, she trains primarily in the mountains of Grandvalira, Andorra, where her style has continued to evolve. In 2025, she was a finalist in SuperUnknown, the video-based talent search spotlighting emerging freeskiers. She also earned Best Rookie honors at the 2025 TBL Sessions, a four-day event created by Taylor Brooke Lundquist to elevate and empower women in freestyle skiing through community, content creation, and competition. Off the snow, she is in her third year studying Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. She is the first skier from Spain to compete at XG.
