About Matej Svancer
Svancer wowed during Ski Knuckle Huck at Aspen 2023 where he earned silver. At 18 yrs, 10 mos, he became the youngest medalist in the discipline. He was also the first skier from Austria to medal at X Games (bronze, Aspen 2023 Knuckle Huck) since Karin Huttary (Skier X gold, Aspen 2006). Svancer has turned heads for years in Big Air but has yet to reach the podium. He went for the quad flip four times at XG Aspen 2023 but he couldn’t quite put it to his feet. He missed Aspen 2024 with food poisoning, and is hungry for another shot at XG glory in 2025. His season is off to a good start after winning the Oct. 2024 World Cup in Chur, SUI.
