Now a two-time X Games gold medalist (officially “big in Japan” after wins at XG Chiba 2022 and XG Japan 2023), in addition to dominating the Street League and World Skate contests and also collecting podiums at the Olympics and Dew Tour, Rayssa Leal is having the most incredible fairytale story in skateboarding. Her story began with the viral video clip of a heelflip in a fairy costume at age 7 that led to meeting her hero, Leticia Bufoni. Now 15, she has the biggest social media presence of any active X Games athlete, owns a private warehouse skatepark training facility, and turned pro for Shane O’neill’s April Skateboards in 2022.
